    Toilet Plaque

Good point. I didn't think to look at the lining of the trapway when I took the pictures, but in the photos it appears that there is glazing in it.

    Toilet Plaque

Again, the municipal water is not "hard water", and the WC was install in 2017. Regarding age, I have the same supplier of water as the customer and my 68 year old Standard WC still functions. Of course is has a larger tank than the 1.6 gl. As for 1.6 gl. and less toilets, does this build up...

    Toilet Plaque

BACK GROUND: I posted in January about a 1.6 gl. toilet that was around 7 years old. Yet, despite a full tank and properly operating flush valve, it was not evacuating the bowl effectively. Water Quality - Not hard water. ACTION TAKEN: The toilet was replaced. (I have a happy customer) I also...

    Toilet - Replacement recommendation

I thought about that, but I don't want to pull the toilet, have a slight obstruction not be the problem, then reinstall the old toilet while I wait for a replacement, then come back and replace the old one with a new one.

    Toilet - Replacement recommendation

Situation: The current toilet is a Kohler with a canister flush valve. It is only around 7 years old; however, the customer is complaining that it is a poor flusher. My term, not theirs, but you get the idea. I have been there a couple of times, have tried to make minor adjustment as possible...

Kitchen Sink with Garbage Disposal and dishwasher

Looks like you stepped the lines up to 2" and have an AAV at the top of drain. For the sink drain, did you use a sanitary Tee on its side?! As for a separate drain for the GD: If it is a new rough in, I think I'm going to keep installing a separate drain for the GD. Thanks for your feed back Tim.

Kitchen Sink with Garbage Disposal and dishwasher

Kitchen Sink with garbage disposal and dishwasher: I always rough in a double bowel sink with two 1-1/2" drains. One for the dishwasher and garbage disposal (Dishwasher discharges directly into the GD). I do this because I figure a horizontal drain to a Tee would not be enough to handle the...

Main Water Supply Trunk Line Sizing

Thoughts on sizing of Main Water Supply Trunk Line. Situation: 1) Single residential house 2) Supply line into the house is 3/4 copper 3) Meter size is 5/8 ( Easy enough to change over to 3/4) 4) Static pressure 55 lbs. Concerns: 1) Pressure & supply drop for the two full baths when in use 2)...

    Bathroom Drain Lines

The 1.5" drains into a 2" for the shower. and a 1.25" would work for that also.

Wouldn't it meet the wet vent criteria?

    Bathroom Drain Lines

Running into issues with the existing framing. I changed the Lav vent from 1-1/2" to 1-1/4 because of framing space. This is OK under the IPC; however, I also want to use it to wet vent the shower drain. Thoughts on this?

    Press tool: Ridgid vs Milwaukee

I hear you. I still solder, but I cant help but to look at other methods. Also, even though you drained a line, sometimes there is that one drip of water that keeps entering the line while your trying to solder the joint.

    3" x 3 x 2" 1/4 Bend

I could. It seems that it is 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other in terms of function.
