Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

Yes, hot on the left. I’m going to take the cartridge apart and see if anything is obstructing it.

Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

This problem is happening with the new cartridge. I may try using the old one to see if it works. Since I’ve had the problem with both old and new cartridges, I feel like there’s another factor. I did find a video of how to take one apart so I may look at that.

Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

I’m wondering if the hot shutoff valve isn’t working. No balancing valve. I can’t get to the shower now, but here’s a photo of the same model.

Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

I’m wondering if it’s more than a clogged line. Tried cartridge in, cartridge out and got full flow on the cold side, nothing on the hot side. I checked the internal shutoff and it seems as if it’s a quarter turn on/off and that’s it. Both shutoffs do turn but nothing on hot side. This all...

Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

Victory! Somewhat. Pulled the cartridge out and get a decent flow out the valve. Played with the internal shut offs so I believe they are open all the way and I got the flow up to what I believe is full blast. With cartridge and handle back on I got only a slight flow out of the showerhead...

Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

Thanks. There are other shutoff valves that I installed. They are working because I hear the water flow when I open them. Seems like water gets to just below valve from what I can hear. I’ll play with shutoff at faucet. Haven’t been used in a few years so there’s probably buildup. You’re right...

Shower- faucet turns but no water out of showerhead

I have a stall shower (no tub faucet) in an area of my house that doesn't get much use. The shower has its own shutoff valves due to no heat in the winter (converted garage bathroom, I'm in New Jersey). Recently when I tried turning the shower on, I heard the water in the pipes, but nothing...

Hot Water in Water Heater not lasting as long as it used to.

Thanks all. Hot water is now back. I expected the sensor needed replacing. Not wanting to wait several days to have one shipped to me, I broke down and had an AO Smith service tech install it since he had it on the truck. As for the pilot light piece, I hear you, mainly because when Hurricane...

Hot Water in Water Heater not lasting as long as it used to.

I am calling for service today. Model number is GPSH 40 200 with a build date of 6/14/06, so out of warranty.

Hot Water in Water Heater not lasting as long as it used to.

Thanks all. Over the course of the night, error lights went out and we had a whole tank of hot water. Went on a ten minute errand, and when I came back, the error lights were back on. Had one hot shower and one hot fading to warm halfway through. now hot water will be out for a while.

Hot Water in Water Heater not lasting as long as it used to.

So I went to my local plumbing supply place who didn't have a dip tube and the anode rod they had was probably the wrong size. In talking further, we further determined it was probably not the dip tube. Over the course of the past night, all hot water is gone. My water heater is not igniting. I...

Hot Water in Water Heater not lasting as long as it used to.

Water Heater is a gas-fired AO Smith Power Shot, 40 gallons, made in 2006. I have not changed the temp settings or any settings in years. I have cleaned the corrosion in the ignitor area a few times, and it's worked fine. In the past few weeks, the hot water in the morning is gone in like 10...

    Recommend a Kitchen Faucet!

Got the Delta Collins. Easy install. Used silicon underneath base. Lots of high-tech thought in this faucet. Works great. Occasionally, when I shut it off, I get 4 drops of water, then it stops. Pleased with my upgrade. Timing was perfect, as the night before, I turned the Price Pfister on and...

    Side Sprayer Knocking?

Thanks. I am assuming #2. Since I've only had the faucet for a week, I'm not going to bother replacing the diverter. Faucet will go back to the store, to be replaced with a new Delta faucet. Should take care of the issue.

    Recommend a Kitchen Faucet!

Single handle, side spray, 4 hole. Good quality, basic chrome, nothing fancy. Easy to find/replace parts. Hopefully in the $100 range. Please send suggestions.

    Side Sprayer Knocking?

I just replaced a kitchen faucet with Price Pfister single handle model with side sprayer. Installed with no problem. Removed aerator, flushed faucet. The sprayer that came with it is a cheap-looking plastic one. Instead of using this, I used a stainless steel Kingston Brass one from my previous...
