I would have thought no, given that copper is such an effective heat sink. It must be incredibly slow though right? Still work with larger sections of pipe? (that is a pretty short section there).

I second the water hammer, but i could also use a water jacket to match my dickie coveralls.

I am pretty sure the black sleeve he turns is isolated from any torque or force the hole saw bit sees. I assume the pair of pins he lines up with those holes on the saw bit takes that load.
