    Campbell pressure gauge accuracy?

Typical ±3-2-3% of span accuracy. Accuracies with multiple percentages indicate that the accuracy varies at different reading points on the gauge. These types of gauges are most accurate in the middle half of their range. Error on a 100psi pressure gauge would be: 3psi or ±3% for 0-25 psi range...

NEW Rheem WATER Heater not hot enough

I know. I just figured with some specs on the thermostats maybe others will find this and stop trying to get the temperature within a few degrees.

NEW Rheem WATER Heater not hot enough

I was a little bored today so here you go: I installed my Rheem 50-gallon electric last year. I looked up the replacement thermostats and here are the specs. With that much differential it seems if the temperature is within 10°, you’re doing great. Differential or hysteresis is the temperature...

Plumber used CPVC for Tub Spout

So this is from the Moen parts lists: U362 uses diverter cartridge 200759. 3 or 6 Function Cartridge (Includes Shared Function) U232 uses diverter cartridge 200758. 2 or 3 Function Cartridge (No Shared Function) Everything else looks the same. Call Moen.

Plumber used CPVC for Tub Spout

I'm not a plumber so take this for what it's worth. I'd call Moen and see if you can just replace the diverter cartridge. From the pics the housings looks the same. It looks like the U232CIS uses a 200758 and the U362XS uses a 200759. Don't know if that is the only difference but if it is you...

    Help replacing ball valves

What is wrong with the existing valves? You can use a hack saw to cut the pipe. It doesn't take too much to cut it. CPVC gets brittle over time. I wouldn't stress it too much. You don't want to create more problems. I've used cutters like these "Husky flexible tube cutters" on old pipe. I...

    Help replacing ball valves

Do you think you'd be able to move either pipe once the valve is out to allow more room to fit the new one in?

    Acrylic chip patch ?

Yes. That's what I've done. It doesn't really look that deep.

    Acrylic chip patch ?

It doesn't look that deep. I've used it on chips in a cast iron tub. If you try to fill it, you'll have to sand it and you may wind up with a bigger area to deal with. Just try a drop or two and let it settle and dry.

    Acrylic chip patch ?

You could try appliance touch up paint. They have a few different colors on Amazon. Try mixing to get the color you need.

    installing new basement sump pump

If you rely on a pump to keep your basement dry I would recommend that you get a name brand pump.

    installing new basement sump pump

I'm in MD as well. I'm not a plumber. I've had excellent results using a HydroCheck HC6000 "Hi-Lo Sump Pump Controller" with a manual pump. No floats to hang up and no mechanical switches to go bad. There are two sensors so you can set the on/off height where it works best for your situation...

That's what I did. Standard electric water heaters are so simple, Parts easy to get and replace as long as the tank holds up. Some things are just getting too complicated. I just installed this one from HD. 9 year warranty and 5500 watt elements for less than $700...
