    Cleaning an HTP Versa Hydro

Roger that, and thanks. They just say "RTFM", which is pretty minimal. I'll keep looking for someone in the area, or just stink-can the boiler and get one that has parts/personnel locally. I should have researched this more instead of trusting a builder I know. Good machine, but everything needs...

    Cleaning an HTP Versa Hydro

WILLING TO PAY FOR HELP, BTW. I asked before and got little info, so I thought I'd try again. I have a pro coming out to clean my HTP, but he has not worked on an HTP before; no one in Fairbanks has, to my knowledge. We are trying to find some kind of material, such as a repair manual, to give...

Need education on cleaning an HTP "boiler"

Where might one gather some info on cleaning an HTP solar water heater ("boiler")? I'd like to do it myself, if possible; I've cleaned and tuned my oil boiler for 30 yrs (have a magnahelic and smoke tester) but I don't know stink about a mod-com propane water heater. Thanks for any guidance.

Low pressure on faucet after leak fix

did you over-glue by chance and partly plug the new pipe? it's hard to believe that would be the problem, but maybe. stir up crap in the pipes, which has now been pushed into the screen of the faucet, or plugging holes in the faucet valve body? just ideas. let us know if you find anything.

Venting water closet on the vertical drop

On that 6" between the vertical drop on the water closet and the vent, is that measured center to center on the two pipes? Thanks. We have one that is pretty tight.

Dry-vented sink enters branch drain question

Cad and frodo: thanks very much. that is how we are doing things so far. i am a diy guy, vaguely familiar w/ plumbing, as i have helped a plumber on a few houses. i guess the safest thing for a diy guy is to just vent everything and connect drains on the horizontal.

Venting water closet on the vertical drop

Wouldn't it be better to go down with a 45, then into a wye? I did not think you could use a sanitary T on a water closet. Learn something every day. cheers. john

Dry-vented sink enters branch drain question

I read in a pamphlet published by the Seattle/King County Public Health that a dry-vented sink can not empty into the branch drain pipe from right above, but must enter the drain pipe in the horizontal plane. Why? See the picture attached. Am I misinterpreting this? Just curious. Thanks. john

Venting water closet on the vertical drop

Frodo: Thank you. As I was not sure at all if I could vent on the vertical drop, I was sure leaning toward venting on the horizontal run, like we've done before. It just looked tempting to vent on the vertical, to save some fittings. I appreciate your info. john. PS: Out our curiosity, and so I...

Venting water closet on the vertical drop

New house. I'd like to drop straight down from my toilet for about 16"-18", then turn horizontal via a 3" T-wye. (The upstream horizontal opening of the T-Y will have a clean out in it.) My question is: Can I vent the toilet on the vertical drop at A w/, say, a 3-3-2 Y, or do I have to vent on...
