I have a shower stall with plastic walls that don't meet the floor. The walls seem straight, but it must have been cut crooked. I have up to a 1" gap between the wall and the shower floor. I have tried to caulk a couple of times, but it doesn't stick to the stall walls (I have tried to sand it but it still won't stick. Any suggestions? I am not worried about aesthetics, just functionality. Thank you.

If sticking is the issue you could use plumbers putty and then put waterproof Chaulk on that and make like a seal? Plumbers putty could lay the foundation for the with the chaulk could probably seal it

are you sure its pushed together all the way?????some brands have tabs on the walls that sit in groove on the tub or shower
I is a good inch or more from even reaching the shower base.

No offense, but you got exactly what you wished for. In my opinion, that will always look like crap, and will retain moisture and mold. You need to either to cut in a new, waterproof piece, or tear it out and start over.

What do you mean a "new piece"? Add a small pies of plastic in the gap?
Also, this is what was there when we recently moved in. I am trying to make it work because I can't afford a new surround of any kind.

if that's a fiberglass tub and souround its possible that you could get a tub repair co...to make it water tight....we work with a company that makes fiberglass repairs....just an option...good luck

Another suggestion for twenty some dollars you could buy a piece of FRP board which is 4'x8' and cut it to fit and then put it
right over the other board and then make sure you are all the way into the base. Re-seal it. Seen them at Home Depot. Cheaper
fix until you can afford the whole new surround kit.
