When they came out to fix the pipe they reinstalled the meter box and now the side of the pipe hits the side wall. Is this going to be a problem? They told me don’t worry as long as there is space above the pipe. I don’t expect any other cars to run over the box again but should I dig the box back up and try to put the pipe more toward the center of the opening? Thanks for everyone help!

That looks like a fiberglass box. If it is just take some sheet metal snips and cut a little more on the
left sideout. If its concrete then move it over to the center.

Wow only buried 6-8” for a water main? Wouldn’t that freeze or be prone to easy damage ?

Thanks guys! I moved it over to the left a little to center it. Yeah it’s not in an ideal spot but they just rushed to build all these track homes. I live in an alleyway so cars/mailmen etc tend to run it over a lot when turning around. I placed driveway markers since I had a broken pipe last week from being run over too many times.
