We bought a cheap add-on Boss Bidet for the toilet and are having a few issues.

Issues:

1. The water pressure is too high. The house pressure is around 55 psi and after it goes through the 1/8th" PVC tubing even barely turning the valve it's like having your unmentionables pressure washed.

2. In the winter the temperature of the water is painfully cold.

Questions:

1.
- Are there flow restrictor products for 1/8th" PVC tubing? I'm assuming this would be a barb x barb fitting with a small orifice. If so, where can I get one for a reasonable cost?
- Are there valves of this small size that would also do the job and allow accurate adjustment at this high pressure?
- Can I just compress the PVC tubing to restrict the flow with a clamp of some sort? Is this safe? Will it lead to failure and leakage?

2.
What solutions are there to get the water temperature to at least 70-80F?
I was thinking either an intermediate 1/2 to 1 gallon tank with heater or an on-demand system. The problem is I have not found any that are designed for this relatively lower temperature and don't want to over complicate things by adding a mixing valve.

A decent bidet seat is expensive for a reason. Speaking as a plumber that is the reasonable answer.

Just one week later, someone is trying to once again build a bidet sprayer. No offense to the original poster, but one of these days, someone will finally design a decent product.

They make mixing valves for toilets so they don't sweat, you could use this for the bidet. Put a inline valve on from Grainger and you could slow it down to the pressure you want.

Just spend $600 and get the Toto bide heated seat too! Works wonderful, that’s what we put in
