Hi can somebody tell me what washer this is,what purpose it has? I got withe a new shower head and mixer, there where 4 standard hole on ones and this one with a small hole which puzzles me.

Could this increase water pressure or just reduce water consumption, sorry for the quality of the picture, it just a hole 3/4 the size of the other ones

It reduces water consumption. Try it with, and then without, to see if you find much difference.
