The plunger piece of drain rod got stuck on it's own when taking out drain rods.
It's about 2.5 rod lengths down. Is there any accessory or tip anyone knows that could retrieve it? I tried using the scraper to go past and pull it back, but couldn't get it to work. Any tips appreciated.

Also called sewer rod. Attached a pic.
The disc is the part I think is still down there

He’s probably in a different country

The main cause of rods becoming detached during the drain clearing process is that they simply unthread themselves, the rods purchased at the large DIY houses and builders merchants screw together and all that thrashing about in the drain can cause the rods to spin and undo.

EnMotion, I hope you can get to your drain pipe. If the rods are popular over there hopefully a drain cleaning company will have a retriever. If not then the piping will probably have to be replaced . Next time use a regular electric snake, they work better.

Hi i have used a high pressure water jetter and a root ranger nozzle to retrieve them and rods for some plumbers hope this helps
