Is there a 2" hose somewhere between the ribbed junk they happily sell in hardware stores @ ~$10/25' and, say, Watts Spa-flex @ $70/25'?

Got some stiff black hose to go from the basement window across the yard; got pvc sched 40 standing up from the pump across the basement. Like to have something flexible but sturdy to get between them, dodging flues etc.

Thanks

I'll take that under consideration. Would have to hang it low or do some serious dodging of flues.

Here's the quick n dirty. I could start over the pump right under the rafters. When I come to the flues, I could use 45 deg couplings to go up into the chase and back down again at the back wall. (That's the red section).
From there I'd make a right angle and go over about a dozen feet (and a bit down) to the window.

Anything wrong with this?
Flexible hose, I'd just run it over the flues into the chase briefly, and at a diagonal from sump to window.

Another little fillip here is making things so I can later on dig the sump deeper, or just remove the pump for repair and replacement. If it were flex hose, there'd be a hose clamp connection somewhere in the first vertical, and the pvc could be unscrewed from the pump. I suppose there is a coupling available, same principle as under the sink?

While we were looking elsewhere, my wife was at one of the hardware stores we frequent, and a guy we trust says this here Wayne ribbed hose has lasted him 5 years, even works buried, etc. To feel it, it does seem tougher than the previously mentioned junk hose, which springs holes in about 2 months in my experience.

So an option (considering this to be a positive answer to my opening question above), is to come up from the pump a yard or so with PVC to the check valve, and from there with the Wayne hose across the room to the hose that crosses the yard. Gotta figure out the connectors again, but they will work that out at the hardware store.

Still would like input on the whole-PVC solution.

And guess what? Upon installation the Wayne hose has pinholes in it.
Let's suppose this occurred while I was pulling it across the basement through non-straight, tight pathways, and twisting.
Fact is, even though I suppose it is better than the usual hose, we don't live in the tidy suburbs. We live in a 150-yr-old farmhouse the flues, wiring, and plumbing of which have been installed in stages and layers and are UNTIDY. Ain't yer suburban tract house with a plan.
Hence let's go up a few comments and put in the real stuff.

One plan is as sketched above. Another would be sidestep messing with the headroom and run pipe around the walls.

Thoughts?

My discharge line goes up vertically about 7', turns 90 degrees and runs horizontal for about 24', turns 90 degrees up and 90 degrees again to get out of the house! Of course, this is all sch 40 1 1/2" PVC properly supported, so I think your setup should be fine IF your pump can overcome all the turns and lifting of water. There are calculators for that. From your sump pit you should have a check valve, and that's where you would disconnect the system for maintenance.

Dodging flues with flex could lead to all sorts of problems. Pvc is way to go

If everyone knew what we knew we would be out of buisness. Post a picture there is always a way. It really bugs the **** out of me when people come to this sight ask for advice from professionals and then **** on the response. We are not Harry blow job down the street working at a how do ya do hardware store. Do what ya want it is your house.
