watching a Forged in Fire marathon. Anyone here ever watch that? They make swords, axes, and knives in a competition.

I've watched that a couple times. It is interesting. I've always been fascinated by Glass blowers as well.

My wife's friends always say they want their husbands to be more like me because I am always getting something done. She doesn't see it the same way. She says I have add and can't sit still. I'm always doing something.

I rested this morning then went to Costco for some junk. Got home and installed a new sprinkler timer. Watered a few acres worth of trees and installed some new irrigation. Then I wired up the new lights on my headache rack of my truck and wired the fuel transfer tank. Cut some new switches into the dash which was hard because the truck is new but they turned out clean looking. Loaded up my truck with tools for work tomorrow and threw 200 feet of 4" sewer pipe on the rack. Had s buddy and his family come over for dinner so I made up some enchiladas complete with a tasty home made sauce.

See I can sit around and do nothing. Will be on the road at 4am heading to LA.

I want to hear more about the homemade enchilada sauce. The only one I like is from Trader Joe's, but it is very expensive.

1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup chili powder, I prefer ancho and New Mexican over regular.
2 tablespoons self rising flour or regular flour if you don't have rising

Combine all in pan and cook for a few minutes but don't burn it.

Add 8oz tomatoe sauce and 1-1/2 cup water bring to simmer

Add large pinch of each of these.

Cumin
Garlic
Onion powder
Salt

Simmer couple minutes and it's done.

Guarantee you won't use canned sauce again.

It takes all of about ten minutes to make real sauce.

Thanks. I'll have to give that a try. I never would have guessed that flour was needed for the sauce.

Helps thicken it. You can use cornstarch I suppose to keep it gluten free for those who are following the fad.

hell zanne, i work with fire and hot metal. i wanna watch something that aint hot

i have a set of swords....

Ooh, Nice!
I have a couple of swords. My diposaurus brother put one of them on the floor and the cats peed on it though-- and its rusting. Need to figure out how to repair that. I should get pictures of them sometime.

I got a call from the hospital I went to when I injured my back. They wanted me to do a survey about my experience in their ER. I rated my overall experience as very poor and "not a chance in hell" that I would recommend it to anyone. I then got to vent about the wait times and the douchewaffle that told me I would have to leave if I was having chest pain.

The only good thing to come out of it is that my mother has actually been doing more stuff for herself instead of asking me to get stuff for her all the time.

I just got my 1st Smart phone. Turned my land line # to an IPhone 6 .
I always had a company phone and had limited my personal calls on it.
Spent most of the day with my face buried into it.

Not to sure what I just did. I'm going to find a bunch of useful useless things to do with it now.

Already replied to 1 post here on PF with it.

My Main desk top PC is acting up though. 3 times know I had to restore from a past recovery point just after a windows system update. Then the system had an automatic update and it crashed again.
No more automatic up dates.

What do you have think, Chris?

Don't get to see guys use side outlet precast boxes much. I like open bottom shallow boxes, put a riser up and I can pour the bottom sloped like I want, then there is never an issue with fall or a box being to deep.

Is that in a planter? looks like a non traffic rated box?

The GC ordered the structures, and set them. I am just piping in between them.

Yes, these boxes are all in landscaped areas.

When using these side outlet/inlet boxes for storm drainage, do you usually mud in the inverts? If so, what material do you use for that?
