I have a shower handle and trim kit that I think is a Moen based on it's looks. I would like to replace it with something more modern looking. It has to be around 30 years old. The handle that looks like a crystal tear drop operates by pulling the handle straight out and turning left or right to adjust the temp.

My question is will any Moen posi-temp setup work? I was looking for something in a lever design.

The local Home Depot and Lowes only carry a full setup with the handles, shower head, and valve. I don't need/want a new shower head or valve.

Here is a link to a picture of the handle.

TIA

There are two styles of moen valves. The older with the smaller cartridge that they use in kitchen faucets and lays, and the larger"magnum" style that they still use today. I suggest you take a picture with the handle off and post it.

Smaller style you might fine some trim online and the bigger style you should find the trim at any plumbing supply... Now that said a plumbing supply should be able to get you the smaller style as well

Good luck
