Hello, need some help here. I took out this screw shown in the photo and water started spraying out of the bathtub faucet pipe below the handle. So I put back in the screw but now the faucet won't stop dripping. I tightened it as much as I could and still just won't stop dripping water. Any help here in telling me what is going on would be super appreciated. Thank you!

If you removed that screw while the house water was on, the whole cartridge probably moved forward slightly inside the valve body, and now o rings or seals are not lining up, or have gotten pinched or damaged.

You should turn off the house main water valve, release the pressure by opening some faucets, then remove both the screws and retainer plate.

Pull out the cartridge, clean out any minerals or crud inside the brass valve body, coat everything that is rubbery with a thin coat of plumbers’ silicone valve grease.
Re-install the cartridge, and the retaining plate and screws.

If the valve leaks or the tub spout nipple leaks, buy and install a new cartridge.

It might be Kohler, pros on here will know, or else pull it out and post some pics.
It might have two separate pieces or be all one piece.
