Is this a good setup?

What is that square pvc compression coupling right before the cast iron stack?
Is that a check valve on the drain line?

-washer stand pipe must have vent
-Washer stand pipe cant be a s trap.
-The other stand pipe with the bag in is an open connection it needs a trap and vent.
-The whole drain is to small it must be 2 inch all the way untill it meets the cast iron.

Why is there a check valve on a laundry room drain?
What purpose does it serve?
It is a restriction on a drain that is already under-sized.

Laundry drain water is full of lint, which can clog the check valve.

This whole wall of trash should be removed and rebuilt.
Including the metal sole plate.
Rip out and redo everything while you still can.
Looks like uncle Joe and cousin Moe did this work.

And you never answered about the gray grids and if they are there to address seepage problems.

I think you can just put the condensate in the washer box, there is no need for the first trap. connecting the vents together is a great idea.

As you know, the OP was trying to avoid that constant AC water sound in that room, based on his comments in Post #14.

I believe you may have had a solution for him based on this explanation. "You can put the 3/4 ac drain into the washer box by drilling a hole above the drain opening and putting on a coupling with threads on the bottom and adapter to go threaded to 3/8 hose barb and put a small piece of tubing which goes in the pipe below. More later"
I'm not sure I fully follow that. I think you were saying he could end up with small piece of tubing sticking down that receptor for the washer hose and eliminate the noise. Is that close?:)
