Hey. I recently Changed my faucet everything seemed to go fine. During the drain installation i accidentally removed this plastic or silicone which i thought was maybe a gasket. That part is circled in red where there are still remnants left of what I pulled out. Do I need To do anything to that area now or just leave it?
secondly the drainer stopper from the new faucet is too big it seems as there is some standing water left. This is issue is caused Because the gasket is not level with the sink. I pushed down the stopper while i made the screws tight on the bottom and it still is not level. Would putting putty around the plate level things out so the water can drain?
