PLEASE, can any one tell me why my toilet has "drifted" to a crooked position? Works perfectly.
No leaks. Do I simply reposition it and tighten the bolts better ? About 5 years old.
Thanks for your time and trouble.

You might want to try to pull the toilet and get a new wax seal on that. You never know if shifting it back over could cause something to happen.

Right ! Remove the toilet, scrape the old wax ring off, install new ring (wax or polyurethane), and reinstall. I use a short 7/16" wrench and 2 fingers to tighten the nuts. (Works for me)
I usually use a latex caulk (kitchen/bath - anti mildew). I leave about 2" uncaulked at the back to allow air underneath. The caulk will keep the toilet from shifting.
