We have had a lot of rain in the last couple of weeks, resulting in a blown rubber hose on our check valve. The septic pump is running very often and making a gurgling sound in the bathroom sink after it runs. Two days ago, i noticed that one of the screws is leaking water in the main section of the check valve when the system runs. What could be causing this?

Are you talking about the sump pump that is running a lot. Would need to see pictures. Does the sump discharge tie into a line in the house or does it come up from the pit and then out the side of the house.

I have attached a copy of the system I am referring to. The water is leaking from a screw out of the middle section of the black area where the check valve is located

A hung sewer is when the main sewer enters the house above the basement floor and not under. So if you have any plumbing fixtures in the basement they have to be pumped up to the sewer elevation.
I am not sure what that screw does. Like i said earlier it may be to take the check valve apart and replace the disc inside. Did you try to tighten it
