Hello,

I'm trying to find the code for supporting gas pipe that running from a generator to a house. Can it be on the ground, does it need support, does it need any protection from tripping over it. Most of it will be either 3/4" or 1" black pipe.

Everything I see is for hanging pipe.

i had to dig a trench 2ft deep, it came up right at the generator and right up at the tanks , the generator hadto be 5 ft away from the house, i think it was 1/2 coated soft roll copper once it came out of the ground it transitioned to 1/2"ips i painted it with weather proof protective paint this was for propane and in mass
