Change handle angle on disc faucet

Was wondering if it is possible to change the angle of rotation for a disc kitchen faucet.

When you turn the handle to hot it can bump against the window trim behind the faucet. Ideally I would like to make hot straight up, flush with the faucet spout.

I dis-assembled the faucet pictured below and the valve cartridge only fits as it was originally built. The brass piece that controls mixture of the warm and cold water is continuous with the mounting bracket, therefore unable to angle it.

Is there some way to adjust this angle or are there faucets that do not rotate past the faucet spout?

You might be able to rotate the entire faucet body 90 degrees clockwise, by loosening the nut or clamp under the sink.

Then the valve handle will be in front of the faucet, not off to the side.

Or maybe you can file a new flat spot on the brass stem in a better location, so the handle set screw can be tightened down in a better direction.

Thanks Jeff! I will definitely try those suggestions. I am going to start with just adjusting the handle first.

Well, when I rotated the handle and set screw 90 degrees towards the front it messed up the on-off function. The handle needs to be in the same plane that the valve cartridge allows for on-off to function properly. (Otherwise you are twisting the handle sideways for on-off.)

And the wife thinks rotating the entire faucet body would protrude too much over the sink...

So we will be looking for models where handle straight up is all the way hot!

Most all newer faucets mfr's now expect there to be a wall behind the faucet and account for that angle issue.
Guaranteed the Grohe Ladylux pro series accounts for it, and Kohler as well.
But, I agree with Jeff H. that just rotating 90 deg. will solve your problem quick and easy.
SAF is always an issue (spousal acceptance factor). Good luck with that.
Though we have one of our faucets rotated out 90 deg., I still can't get my wife to allow a 55" TV to move into the bedroom so I can get a 75" in the main area.

If rotating the faucet will work, then tell your wife that you now have that $200.00 to $400.00 new faucet money to spend on something else!

Besides, the handle will be sitting over the bridge between both bowls.

Not in the way of anything when vertical.
