I’m installing a shower in the roughed in bath in the basement. The drain is too tall. I haven’t found any PVC pieces to replace the below surface portion that resolve my problem. Any help is appreciated. See pics.

Yeah that seems like a big problem but also where was your P-trap going to go? Just wondering from looking from the pictures it doesn't seem like that was thought of?

The camera might just make the close-up pipe look bigger, but based on at least a three inch thick slab cut that looks like a three inch or four inch elbow.

That would explain the lack of a p trap for a shower.

Thank you all. Jeff, it is 2" PVC. I'm hopeful that installing the p trap today will lower my height enough for the drain install. I'll post an update.

LOL

Cut that pressure 90 [which is illegal] off and install a p trap

Place the shower unit or shower base, up against a wall. level it
use a pencil, mark the floor where the drain hole is
measure from wall to center drain hole
in both directions
transfer those measurements using a plumb bob to the center of the p trap location
