Low Water pressure due to softener

Hello,
I own a house in Central Texas that is 6 years old. A few weeks ago, we noticed low water pressure throughout the house, from time to time. They're still constructing in our neighborhood, so I chalked it up to that.
A week ago, I used a bottle of the blue water softener cleaner in the small skinny tank in the softener, and recharged overnight. The next day, and since, our water pressure has been awful. It will be fine for 5 seconds, then get really low...just a very light stream from faucets, and it is happeneing everywher in the house.

I just went outside, and all the outside spickets are fine. So I hit the bypass valve on the water softener, and all the pressure came back in the house. Also noticed that the main tank in the softener is about 1/4 full with water, up to where the salt level is, at this point. I've never seen that.....Also there is some water in the smaller skinny well...

So I've narrowed it down to the softener. I'm kinda lost at this point as to how to troubleshoot next, or what the likely cause is. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I should add that I hit recharge to see what would happen, the brine well is about 1/2 full with water.
I stuck a stick in it and can only get down so far....about the last bottom 10-12" seems to be impenetrable, with a stick.
I also took apart the nozzle and venturi system and cleaned it, it didn't appear to be clogged in the first place.
