4lane, if your comment is to me, let me reply. I in fact did not say “burner assembly” I said “pilot assembly”. The pilot assembly attaches to the burner assembly but are individual part numbers. The water heater that you have requires a specific pilot assembly that conforms to certain safety requirements. Like previous posters here said, it’s not a 6 dollar thermocouple.
