Just Curious if Arlan Plumbing Charged me appropriately?

About 6 years ago, plumbers came and poked holes in my wall with my HOA, left, never repaired the wall. Last week, a leak just magically sprang in the same location.

They charged me $725.oo. Does this seem steep? Interesting enough, a week later, the 2nd valve on the right stem washer seems to be leaking?

Any opinion on that pricing for this repair. Also Side Note. Detective Angela Stewart of the LAPD who started the "Bye Bye" Death Threat to me.

Has started once this leak started last week with the HOA, and all the Plumbers I called.

Although the original question is, am I being riped off?

Also, magically, about a week later, in the location the 2nd dry wall was ripped out about 6 years ago, now there is a small valve leak in this location. Any thoughts about this and repair pricing?

What was their breakdown of the bill?

Different areas have different labour rates, which is the biggest expense on most service calls

Your post is confusing. I am not getting the death threat reference. Also not sure what HOA means in this context. I'll simply state that in my area, plumbers decide how far to bend you over when they see your neighborhood on the drive to your house. That seems to be the only formula they use here anyway.

Plumbers are not carpenters or sheet rockers neither are they painters

if we need a hole in the wall to access the plumbing, it is the responsibility of the home owner to patch the hole.

as far as the rest of your post. WTH are you talking about?

most repair companies will give you a 1 year warranty,,to expect 6 years is insane

Now a days plumbers give a upfront price for the job. In your case it would be to open the wall and find the leak. Then
another price to repair it. If all they did was bust open the wall and cut the pipe and put in a sharkbite coupling then that seems
a little steep in my area.

we do not repair Sheetrock. period
no one around hear does
we also do not hang light fixtures or pour patio concrete
if you want a carpenter, we will recommend one

i will say this, who ever knocked a hole in that wall instead of not cutting a square neat hole
is an *******

HOA is pbly his home owners association.
He is pbly in a condo, or another setting with an association that handles all inside maintenance.

He pays a monthly fee, and they send out repairmen as needed.

Some repairs to common areas would be free, others he would have to pay for if entirely inside his unit.
Looks like he got severely taken advantage of on the price.

The death threat thing is pretty strange.

Ah ok I was thinking homeowners association but was perplexed what that had to do with inside plumbing but your explanation makes sense! I do know a couple of tradesman that when they get a bad vibe from someone that give some astronomical price so as not to have to do any business with them. Perhaps that is what happened here?
