Hello! I am currently renovating my home and have encountered a problem with the drainage placement. Drainage comes from a high position in the wall, which will not fit behind my furniture. I would try to avoid cutting several cabinets and shortening the drawers.

I have sketched a possible solution, by lowering the pipe's height, using two 90 degree angle elbows. This system means that water will always stay inside the pipe. To counter the lack of air in the pipe, I plan to add an anti vacuum cap to the highest point of the pipes.

In the end of this setup, there will be a dish washer and a washing machine. Does the angle of connection matter, could I use 90 degree elbows or would 30 degree ones be better? 30 degree would mean slanted pipes on the wall. Would 30 degree in the end help pushing away the dirt coming from the kitchen sink?

Would this setup work at all? Would it clog all of the time, requiring frequent usage of cleaning acid (once in several months would be okay)? Would debris be gathering to the bottom of the pipe or would the hydro force from washing machine push it away?

To make it clear, the pipe coming from the wall is at 20 cm height. The other pipes pointing upwards will be at a minimum of 40 cm.

Here is the planned setup:

Cheers for opinions!

100% no.

Do what needs to be done to get the drain at the proper height so it can be properly vented.

Alright, thanks for the heads up. What I will try to do is bring cabinets away from the wall and cover it with longer furniture plate, to compensate. I will keep the original height of the pipe. Now about the angles, would it make a difference between 30 and 90 degree pipes in this project?

By code, after your trap you can only change direction be 135 degrees until you reach your vent in the wall. So a 90 degree bend and a 45 degree bend.

My code doesn’t restrict the amount of fittings going from the sink to the trap as long as proper grade can be achieved and it doesn’t extend more than 4’
