I just purchased a house and a washer and dryer. The user manual for the washer says that the drain hose must be at least 39 in high. If you take a look at my pictures, you'll see that the pipe opening for the drain hose is only 34 inches high. Any suggestions on how I should set up the drain hose so that it's high enough? As you can see in the pics, the hose is pretty long. Do I need to cut it? Thank you in advance! 20190705_232341.jpg 20190705_232328.jpg 20190705_232203.jpg 20190705_232349.jpg

Doesn't look like you have much of a choice but the way you are doing it. Unless you want to open the wall and
move that whole thing up. Just make sure your hose is in the drain good and not kinked. Fill a full load of cold
water and drain it while your there to make sure it drains properly.

I don't know if it's just me but it looks like your tape measure shows that your drain hose is over 40 inches high

Who cares of the height that it discharges at your drain hose is up over 40 in I think that's significant enough is the washing machine running correctly? If it is I think you're okay
