What do i need to do from here? Is it all f'ed up or workable?

Help with where to go from here
I had tile work done and i removed the toilet...no problem. I noticed rotten and rusted flange. I removed wax and rusted out flange...no problem. (Here goes the problem) I watched several You Tube videos on removing the inside pvc pipe that fits down into the actual sewer pipe. I went down to what i thought was a lip. Now I'm not sure what to do. Please look at pictures and give suggestions.
 
Can you clean all that seal up to the floor and then take another picture so we can seen how much room you
have between the floor and pipe.
