Is my fitting split

I just installed a new shower valve. When I inspected the weld, I noticed what kind of looks like a split in the fitting, but it looks like it could be a logo, though I have not seen that on any other fittings I purchased from Lowe's.

Exactly. It threw me because I have installed dozens of these fittings, all from Lowe's, and I have never seen one stamped.

That looks very much like Mueller's trademark stamp. Mueller is a copper fitting manufacturer.
