Hi , I have a well water issue . Problem is it turns off every once in awhile 2 times a week for no reason , I have to go to the pressure switch to turn pump on .

Heres what started the issue , I had a old water softner that became clogged , iI removed it from the water line , before i did this i messed with the pressure tank adding air into it thinking it was the problem , it wasnt so i then removed the WS. I have yet to replace the water softner due to no time .

I did notice a small leak in the line once i put the water line back together , although the leak has since gone away on its own .

Im sure it has to do with something i have done any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you have one of those low pressure cut off type switches with the little lever on the side? If that is the case you are going off on low pressure, and have to hold that lever to get the pump started again. That usually happens when you have too much air in the tank. It could also go off on low pressure because the well is being pumped dry, or the pump cannot supply as much water as is being used.

Did you ever find a remedy to your problem?
I am having the same issue after a similar situation as you
