I've read some conflicting info. We have a gas dryer in our basement that is piped to the outside. The run is quite long (30+ feet) with a few bends, but it was recently serviced for lint, etc.
We have our workout area in the same room, as well we fold laundry in front of a TV in the same room. We have CO detectors, yet I'm generally curious of the safety of this area. Let's say there was a leak in the vent or it became clogged with lint. If a gas dryer is working properly it should not emit much CO anyway, is that correct? Also, where does a gas dryer get it's oxygen source, wouldn't that deplete the area as well and could cause a problem? (though I suppose a water heater would do the same, and I've never heard an issue with that)
We normally run many dryer loads back to back, just nervous about going for a jog on our treadmill while the dryer is running. Or if I'm overthinking things.
