Hi all,
I am attempting to replace the Rite-Temp valve on my Kohler Single Handle shower faucet, and I understand from Kohler's documentation that is attached that while holding the handle stationary, I need to back-out the barely visible threaded bonnet (Part No. 76152) in order to remove the handle. Only ~1/4" of the bonnet is visible and is barely wider than the end of the handle base. Even after using CLR and penetrating oil along with needle nose pliers and Irwin VICE-GRIPS, I cannot get the bonnet to turn CCW in order to remove the handle.
Does anyone have suggestions regarding how to remove the handle in this faucet? A center screw or set screw for the handle would be massively easier to deal with, but this is much more problematic.
Thanks in advance for your help. I truly look forward to your assistance.
