The SharkBite site mentions installing their fittings to a certain depth. They show a chart listing the different depths for different size pipe. And their deburring tool functions as a depth stop. Anyhow, the question is this: is this depth a MINIMUM so that the seal engages? What if you go PAST this depth and bottom the fitting out? Does that cause any problem? I have only used these once in the past before I became aware of this depth issue, and at that time I just shoved it on until it bottomed out. Want to know a little more now in case I use more of them. Thanks.
