I have a ground floor shower thats has a drain that is disconnected from the p trap.

The drain is in the slab and the ptrap is about an inch lower and shifted over about an inch. The shower basically drains partially into the dirt.

How do i fix this with out breaking the slab and redoing all the tile work?

break the slab out in front of the shower,
then dig back to the drain
make the necessary repair

and this is the most important part
the ground needs to be packed. if you leave a viod, the concrete will crack
the best way to do this, use regular beach sand,
then wet the sand, it will fill in the voids
put in more sand. wet the sand
more sand, wet it.. til it is full

it is a physics thing, sand compacts itself because of the shape of the granules
it is more expensive, but will be a mo better job
