I want to build a watering system for my porch shrubs. I'd rather the tubing run along the ceiling to stay out-of-sight as much as possible; I envision a shower head over the shrubs. The only shower heads I find when Googling are made for actual showers. I would prefer something that can be bolted to the ceiling and has a side inflow. Any thoughts on what I should Google on to find something like that?

You could also get a "drop ear elbow" and the head off of a watering wand. I believe the head would screw into the elbow and perform just like a showerhead.

I'd look at the micro sprinklers that work with drip irrigation systems. They have a lot of variations on spray patterns, diameters and GPH rates. Some like this one will go on 1/2" - https://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/dig-micro-sprayers-1-2#897=5264
I'd go for the 1/4" style, then run a network of 1/4" tubing where I wanted them going.
They're low pressure systems, so you'd need to make sure pressure is reduced enough for them or they'll be popping off all the time and spraying water like a loose water hose.
You could do a main run of 1/2" tubing that's connected to a drip converter on a sprinkler valve, then tap off of it with 1/4" tubing where needed. Makes it very flexible for adds/changes/deletes later.
I do that kind of setup for fruits and veggies around the perimeter of my back yard - in-ground, though, not above.
If going this route, I would also stay away from the 1/2" compression type connectors/drip converter - at least for me they leaked a lot and made it hard to fix/change.
I forget the name of the ones I use, but I like them. Will find the name/info if you want to try them.
