Well....the older i get, and the longer I do service work, the less likely I am to wanna do things the hard way.

It seems like now more than ever I’m encountering waves of broken tub strainers. No big deal, i peel them out with my saw blade. But it’s tedius.

It’s about time I just say F it and spend the money on the proper tool for the job. I’ve saw online some tools for such a problem, but I’d like to know what you guys are using and how you like it.

Thanks!

Yeah great tool if the cross is still there. But I usually don’t get called till it’s way too late. Damage is already done

DIY I made mine out of scrap PVC. Easy to make and I drilled two holes to insert a short screw driver to remover or install new.

Keep it in my plumbing tool box! Use it for both tubs & sink strainers. Newer strainers just do not last as long!

Oh, I had to use a hair dryer once to soften the plumbers puddly !

Good luck,

Lazy Dog

Wow. I must be just going back on 1 monkey of a man. Wouldn’t think pvc would be tough enough to not break. But if it ever does watch your wrists. That stuff will slice. But innovative I give ya that. Works it works right? Lol everyone of us has our own way.
