Gurgle noise from tub when flushing toilet

Hello plumbing pro's. I hope you can help me pinpoint a couple potential problems.
1. This started a couple weeks ago. When you flush the toilet in the master bath you can hear a gurgling coming from the tub as if air is escaping. Bathroom is set up with 2 vanitys and toilet on left and separate shower and then garden tub on right. Been here 5 years and never heard this noise before.

2. Sprinkler with timer connected to house. Timer stops but water pressure continues through hose to sprinkler. When this occurs you can hear a whine all throughout the house when other water sources are used, Sink, toilet, shower. I was thinking it was caused by some sort of back pressure issue? And possibly related to the smaller whine you hear when washer is running and you flush a toilet?

run allthe fixtures in that bath.....watch the shower drain... if there is a stoppage it will show up there then you gotta snake it fron theshower drain or pull the toilet and snake there....should be at least a 25 foot by 3/8 inch in diameter depending on how far you bath is from the main.
sounds like the is a bad solenoid valve or something stuck in that valve preventing it from closing all the way that's probably were the noise is coming from

solenoid valve? Where does such a thing exists in plain old household plumbing? Sorry for being a novice, but I thought it all happened through gravity. How does it work if the power goes out (a solenoid would require electricity yes?)?

Not an expert, but i believe the solenoid, if there is one, would be in the timer of the sprinkler system. When the timer is supposed to shut off the water, it likely does that via solenoid.

that's what I think, electricity opens and closes the valve

You have 2 different things going on. The drain has nothing to do with your sprinkler system whining.

Sounds like you have two problems.
1) you most likely have a drain problem. Run a auger down your main then camera the line.
2) check your back flow preventer.

Do you use this tub all the time. If not, just run water in the tub so the trap gets full. If you do then you have a plug up
somewhere in the line most likely.

Please ignore point number 2. I should have put that in a separate thread. It is only confusing the matter. As for the bathroom I have tried running ALL the faucets, shower and tub at the same time. Nothing backed up so there can't possibly be a blockage. I did flush the toilet as well and it seemed there was some air bubbling from it so what I am thinking is maybe a vent is clogged which forces air out the tub when the toilet is flushed creating the gurgle noise. I would get on the roof and take a look, but my roof is STEEP and the back side of my house is 3 stories tall. I might have to get a braver person to check that out. I wish I hadn't sold my drone so I could at least take an easy peek.

Again, not an expert and not sure if it would work, but do you have a "curb trap" in your yard? Around here they are covered with a removable flat cast iron or pvc cap with slots in the cap.

I have used a 4 inch disk plunger screwed onto the end of a long piece of black pipe and plunged from that curb trap. It is like a giant piston. I am thinking that if you filled up all sinks, tubs, etc with water, and then plunged the curb trap, it might dislodge anything blocking the vent system.

Might be a stupid idea, but I would try it anyway. You can buy the disk plunger at the orange big box for less than $10, and an 8 or 10 foot length of black pipe is not expensive either.

ok sprinkler. obviously you need to look at that automatic valve or replace it. (insure it's getting power first if it's difficult to remove to eliminate that possibility). the whining is likely failure to fully close but attempt of close. it should be totally unrelated to the bathroom as it doesn't use a vent or drain.

PLUMBING. obviously your vent has an issue and the flush is pulling the water out of the trap of the tub. (trap is that J thing you see under your sink - all fixtures have one even if you can't see it). the vent is air pipe that prevents that - it connects to the drain and allows air to prevent "siphoning in the drain". the drain is where the water goes down. don't rule out a totally clogged toilet drain because that would also clog the vent (where they meet - at the Y). but a toilet clog or problem otherwise will NOT pull the water out of the bathtub trap. only a vent problem does that.

VENT: it may be vented to roof OR (newly) there may be a "1 way vent cap". vent caps can stop working. they are supposed to be installed where a maintenance person can find them and look to see. (you could poke it with a pencil to see it moves and falls back down, kinda easy). if that's not it there are few more possibles: your vent pvc (1.5" pvc) is clogged with a nest or something.
