Just a quick update for everyone..... after going to a plumbing warehouse in my area, they indicated there is no way to identify the stem or cartridge without knowing the manufacturer of the faucet as I was told there are 1300 brands out there. As suggested by others including Home Depot, etc, I just purchased a brand new faucet which has the manufacturer label stamped into the faucet which I can reference in the future should I need to replace the stem.

What brand of new faucet did you buy??

I ended up buying a 'Parlos' faucet through Amazon. I've never heard of this before, but at least my records are online if I ever need to buy a new cartridge. Also, after taking a quick look (just before I threw the old one into the garbage), I could see a very, very small stamp and it is Glacier Bay and was covered by crud, etc :-/

Parlos is a Chinese brand. It will likely be hard to get any parts for this in the future, or they will simply be out of business.
In the future, stick with brands like Moen or American Standard which are well established.

Too bad. Glacier Bay parts are readily available. Parlos is a throw away faucet, no use trying to find parts. Since you were having trouble finding anyone knowledgeable about faucet parts you probably made a good choice. Just remember if you have problems with your new faucet after the 30 day Amazon return window, replacing the faucet again is your best bet.

FYI...Many faucet mfrs offer lifetime warranty. I always save my info on the faucets and just call them when they start dripping. Then they just send the parts free of charge.

You can find that cartridge. Call or get online and go through the glacier bay replacements. That’s a quarter turn ceramic cartridge. It’s out there. Next time buy Moen, easy peasy replacement parts.
