How to stop leakage here?

I've just moved house and found that there is a small leaking in the toilet. I tried to move the joint, but it started leaking harder. Then I just pressed the metal pipe a bit inside of the joint, and the leaking became not so hard, it is just dripping now, but still I don't know how to stop it completely. What would u do in this case. Here are the pictures.

replace that plastic garbage,
i am assuming the chrome pipe is 1/2''
buy a 1/2'' flare nut
buy a 1/2'' flare x 3/8'' male compression adaptor
buy a braided toilet supply hose
with a 3/8'' female compression end to screw onto the adaptor

slide the flare nut on the pipe, flare the pipe end, install fittings

Thank you guys, I called the landlord and asked him to send someone more competent than me. To the next post I'll attach the pictures showing what was done.
 
that's how it looks now. the leakage is no more.

but when the fella was gone, it started leaking in another place)) i called him, he returned and fixed it. now all is good:)WhatsApp Image 2018-06-21 at 20.51.27.jpeg
