Hi
Adding a whirlpool tub to a master bathroom. A review of the Virginia Plumbing code seems to indicate the tub p trap can be moved up to 30 inches down the tub trap arm toward the vent.
I'd appreciate perspective on interpreting the code via the following questions.

1. In Virginia Plumbing Code Chapter 10 sec 1002.1 “…the horizontal distance [from the fixture outlet to the trap weir] shall not exceed 30 inches measured from the centerline of the fixture outlet to the centerline of the inlet of the trap
Q1: As shown in the picture option # 2 can the tub p-trap be moved downstream 30 inches from the sanitary T?
Q2: If so will this change the beginning of the tub trap arm in terms of allowed distance from trap to vent?
Q3. Can a street 90 be used at the bottom of the sanitary T to change the direction of flow toward the downstream p-trap? Trying to pipe the tub on a 2nds floor with 2x10 joists and limited piping room.
2. From the Virginia code Chapter 9 paragraph 906.3 “a vent shall not be installed within two pipe diameters of the trap weir”
Q: Does this also mean that the minimum distance from tub 1.5 inch drain to overflow sanitary 1.5 inch T connection is 3 inches (ie 1.5 x 2)? See standard configuration Option #1
3. Q: Is a p trap directly below a drain as shown in option #3 allowed as long as there is a 3 inches horizontal connection to the overflow drain/vent? Trying to avoid joists
4. Q: Would a tub with 1.5 inch drain pipe and 1.5 inch p trap with 2 inch piping following the p trap have better scouring action during draining than a 2 inch p trap?
