If you got the handle off then if you move the spout back and forth it will come off. Then you can put the new o-rings
and grease on.
They make spacers to get the flange flush with the floor. Silicone and screw it down. Used them many time with
a low closet flange with success.

Take the cover off the drain and look in the drain with a flash light and see if water is standing in the drain. If so then
you have a p-trap.

Matt, he complained that the faucet was sticking out to far. He could move it back a little at a time until he gets
the handle where he wants it.

The mixing valve can be moved back that little bit needed. If its set then take it lose and move it back.
Take your trim back off and try shimming the faucet body back further. Move it back some and then put your face plate on
