    @SHEPLMBR I took the lid off today and turned on the pump and water shoots straight up and out. But looking at the picture, that is concrete, right?

    @SHEPLMBR so the floats are tied to the pipe? Isn’t that pipe in the water supposed to be connect to the pipe pointing downward?

    That just looks to be a "float tree".

    probably been leaking from day one. Did the installer solder any joints? flux can act like an acid and cause premature corrosion if he had a some on his hand when he installed the flex.
