So I’m a young guy who started working at an Ace hardware and they want me to eventually replace the plumber who I’m training under, I’m completely new to plumbing!!! Any advice and basics you pros might want to give me??? Much appreciated!!!

Read, read, learn, and when you get tired, read some more. People that post on this forum and similar others are the same people you will see visiting your Ace Hardware store.

Ace is the place....

Thanks man!!!

Usually when I go in an ACE I know what I want, I just need your help finding it so I can get back to work.
So don't worry if you don't know anything about plumbing, I got that covered.
Concentrate on knowing what your products are, and where they are located.
It really cracks me up when the HD guys are giving advice on how to fix things.
Be honest and don't do that unless you really know how.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah our store is more geared to residential customers who need help understanding what to do and I’m just trying to get to where I can be more reliable in the department. The pros normally just take care of themselves lol

When a customer comes in, like David said take them to the correct isle and spot where the item they need
is at. Your learning so if they ask you a question and you don't know the answer tell them your not sure
and you will get someone that does know. Don't pretend to act like you know how to fix something if you
don't. That will really upset a customer. Good luck at your new job. Everybody starts out GREEN.
