This facet came with out house and it currently leaking in the middle section when ever we turn on the tap. I think it's probably just some washers or o-rings that need to be replaced. The problem is I don't know how to even take it apart. I can't see any screw holes or anything. Also, is there an easy way to find out which model it is, so I know what parts to replace.

Thanks for the help.

Are you sure there is not a small plug with an allen set screw under it.
You are right. most likely o-rings.

I hate AS faucets

There is a tiny hole under there, but when I shines a light on it, I couldn't see any screw in there.

Is it even worth trying to fix? Or should I just replace it?

It's your time and your money. When my faucets leak, I just toss them and after replacement, I'm good for another 20 years, plus if gives me the opportunity to upgrade to something new, with the latest and greatest options. If my retirement was not as good as it is, I would spend a few bucks and try to fix what is broken.

Is it hard to find the parts to fix them? I don't even know the model or anything, so I don't even know where to look.

No telling at this point. Once you take it apart, the parts may be fairly easy to get, provided you have a big box store near you. How old is the unit?

We have Lowe's, Home Depot and Rona where I live. At least 7 years old, it was here when we moved in.

It wouldn't hurt to try a quick fix. Parts are readily accessible for these faucets.

I'll give it a try. Does the facet handle need to be in a certain orientation to reach the Allen set screw? I moved the handle and all I see is the hole. I don't see any thing behind it to unscrew. I hope that makes some sense.

Obviously the water has to be turned off. Get a bright flashlight and look inside the hole to see if you can view the allen. If not, it may have already loosened and fallen out and if this is the case, you just slide off the handle.

Your faucet is probably under parts warranty. Call Am Std tech line and ask if you can send your picture to them and they will tell you what model you have. They may even send you a repair kit. If you replace it buy a Moen.
