Every four years, fans from around the world travel to the FIFA World Cup tournament - the mecca of football. Some simply travel down the road, some from a neighbouring city while others traverse the globe to see their team partake in the world's largest sporting event.

South Africa is doing very well, totally contrary to the image that is often held in the foreign press. There is no tension, everybody is relaxed. You'll love to stay there. The atmosphere before the match, everybody is friendly and the vibe is great. There is a sense of brotherhood.

Moments like this is really great. You get asked interesting questions, people want to know where you are from, and through this we learn a lot. You get to know people, their history, sharing stories, learning about their cultures, you meet people and that is what makes the memories.
It's just so amazing even if I only watching it on TV... :p
"This is the World Cup spirit.”

yeah u r absolutely correct ...after 4 years i am enjoying world cup and there is a lot of entertainment in this world cup match....

I enjoy it as well, but I just don't like the times they are broadcast and really don't like the biased referees!

As an American I don't like Soccer. Nothing can get me interested in it. Now baseball, there's a national pastime.

I played soccer for a couple of years when I was a kid but still cannot get into it myself either but I agree with the baseball part.

Funny, Most people think baseball is boring. I don't follow teams I just watch games, try explaining that to your wife's family when they already having nothing to talk to you about.

All the pressure will be on the Netherlands and Brazil when they take on Slovakia and Chile, these teams have already achieved a measure of success in reaching in final.

I guess you are correct....I just wish they would find referees from other places than the Braille Institute for the Vision Impared!

The calls from the ref this year have been less than excellent is what I gather.

Yeah, goals that were not seen, off sides that were not seen, personal attacks that were not seen, and my biggest complaint are those noisemakers which make you feel you are watching a soccer game thru a bee hive!

I've heard Bob and Tom talk about those stupid buzzing things.... that would piss me the hell off. Why didn't anyone put a stop to that?

Well if you want to take those horns away from thousands of angry South Africans you just go right ahead. I'm going to put on my riot gear and wait till this all blows over.
