Here are a couple of photos of my set up. Just click on thumb nail above to see it. .
The Pressure Limit switch is basically not doing anything since it is set to 50 psi.
This is how the system works currently. When I open a bathroom sink faucet, the pressure slowly goes down from around 68 to 30psi. When the pressure reaches around 38psi the booster pump kicks in a repressurizes everything back to 68 psi.
However every 10 minutes the pump kicks in and works for about 2 minutes. The wierd thing is that the pressure does not go up or down. It just stays at the high 68 psi.
What is causing this issue? The pump should only kick on when the pressure is low.

Instead it kicks on every 10 minutes.
The tank manufacture told me that the pressure is default 25psi and I should raise it to 36 psi or 2psi lower than intake.

To give you a complete picture. This is a well based water source. At the well there is a 40-60psi switch and a 40 gallon bladder tank. It goes into the house and there is a whole house water filter. right above the water filter is the pump system you see photographed.

also if I turn the by pass valve on, and close the pump isolation valve, the system does not cycle. At first I thought it was a slow leak somewhere, but the PSI does not go down when the pump kicks in every 10 minutes.
any help is appreciated. ;

It sounds like the PRV valve needs replacement. After the pump turns off it leaks some pressure by. Causing the pump to recycle.

First of all I would get rid of that one faucet filter called a whole house filter.

Next, I would get rid of the pressure switch and put the booster pump on a flow switch. You can restrict the pressure coming into the pump with your PRV to get desired pressure from the booster. No more cycling

Gee speedbumd, that sounds like a cycle stop to me.

John:D

You do understand I'm just kidding.

I just want to add the Speedbump really knows his pumps, helped me out a bunch.

I still need to order a bladder tank from you but money is tight at the moment. I keep spending it on crap I don't need.

It's a Manly thing. It's what we DO! Just like that 5 7 I bought. I came into a small windfall and did the right thing.

I don't know! I am sure many of you guys have quite the collection as well. Remember I live in CA, we are not allowed any cool or fun guns. Guns out here are for hunting only because they are less dangerous then a semi auto rifle.

Oh yeah, a .223 isn't any where near as dangerous as a shotgun shooting slugs at deer. But what do I know. I guess since you live in Kaliee-fornya, you do have a disadvantage. So, I here by decree that we take a poll to see who has the most cool guns and we will make him officially our KING. All in favor????

That's pretty impressive. I think you made the grade unless someone can top your list. It's important that our "King" has more guns than all the rest of us.

I'm not even going to list mine, I would be too embarrassed with my tiny little stash.

Mine are all hunting type weapons. Yours are neat and odd and I like that. My neat one is my .500 S&W Rifle.

Is that .500 as in 50 Caliber?

I shot a 50 Caliber hand gun. It's been a while ago, I can't even remember the brand, but it was fun. Didn't kick as hard as my old S&W .45. but it was about three times bigger than the .45 too. Must have weighed 50 lbs. Well it felt like it did.

OK, lets see if I can remember my weapons.

1 old .22 short 5 shot revolver.
1 .30 cal M-1 semi auto that looks like the stock was whittled out of a 2X4.
1 old Stevens double barrel 12 ga handed down from my Grandfather.
1 .22 LR Remington rifle pump.
1 Fn Herstal 5.7 x 28.
2 9mm X 18 Makarov's.
1 NAA .22LR or .22Mag 5 shot. My carry gun.
1 H&R .22 6 shot revolver
1 120 lb Crossbow.
The Wives,
1 .38 Air weight S&W (Like the Lady Smith)
1 .38 Taurus in here bedroom nite stand drawer.

I had more than I thought. I guess I just never put them all together in the same place.

Yes .500 as in .50 cal. It takes the same ammo that hand gun you shot does. I love the weirdness of it, I don't love the cost of ammo.

Thats a nice collection you have there. I only realized what I had when I finally made a spreadsheet in Excel to keep track of what I have pictures and all incase they ever get borrowed or there is a fire or something.

Here is a pic of a .500 Handi Rifle
