Converting sink drain to tub

My house was built in the Vietnam war era, where supplies were needed more for the war effort than these stick built houses. I've been dealing with aluminum wiring, no insulation, no metal bracing, no Tico clips, no ties at all. I just keep saying to myself that I helped with the war effort!

Made some changes in hopes of making some of those numerous turns a bit smoother.

I guess replacing a 90 with two 45's isn't technical a change, but there must be a lower probability of a clog with a 45 instead of a 90. Or is it a waste of time??

I'll put a Wye in for that cleanout on the vent once I get one.

This where the 2" shower drain joins 1.5" vanity. If using two 45's instead of one 90 results in a high flow velocity, then I'll put in two's 45's where it turns into and down the stack.

Here's the vanity with different config. I hope that's what you meant for the Wye at the cleanout.

Leave the 90 and Wye as they where because you had to add another 45 fronm the sink

I rebuilt the walls and floor and installed a new tub w/ inclosure

I wish I taken photos of the shower in the bathroom which is the primary subject of this thread. It was pretty gross.

Being dumb as a post, I somehow read that as "threads" and not "posts".

We're not as bad off here in Maryland, but in the People's Republic of Montgomery County, the county commissioners want increase spending. We're one of them "sanctuary" counties... guess there's lot of people we need to take care that aren't paying enough taxes.

I'm going to install the supply piping first in case there is a conflict.

But before that have to install two windows first where there was only one before which will most likely require moving an HVAC vent and duct first.

Plus I want to get this thread to 150 posts!

Those drains are close to the top of the floor.
Don't nail 'em when you put the floor down.

This is a job I did a few days ago.
When they set a trim pc in a hall way the set it right over the vertical drain stack.
Nailed that baby over a dozen times

Sorry for bringing this beaten to death thread back to life, but how can one avoid someone doing this kind of thing in a house, especially after someone else might buy the house and not know that there is a plastic pipe behind the wall?

Is there some of metal plate that can be used to cover the entire 8 ft whatever length?

Install cast iron. Even the nailplates that we use at the top and bottom plates don't ALWAYS stop a screw.
