JG, there is a 3/4" piece in the kit: https://www.amazon.com/Rectorseal-87011-Pro-Fit-Precision-Swaging/dp/B079SBRYZ5
It goes from 1/4" all the way up to 7/8". If you zoom in on the amazon photo it shows that one of them is labeled 3/4".

So, you shove these in to two copper pipe pieces/joints or something and then sweat the copper? I see the description of what they do but am trying to visualize how it is done. Never heard of swaging before.
 
I believe it is expanding a piece of soft tubing so that it basically becomes a fitting, sized to fit tightly over a tubing section of the same original size.
Then it can be soldered to make a joint.
Similar to flaring, only flaring would be expanding tubing to fit over a fitting.
Then be sealed with a threaded coupling.
Feel free to correct or improve on this description.
 
The difference is refrigeration sizes. They size the pipe diffently. I have the set.
 
Do you put them in a drill bit and have them spin inside a pipe or something? (That's how it looks like it's designed to work).
I wonder if this can work with PVC, but I suspect not.

Yes that's how it works. It wouldn't work in any kind of recommended way with pvc. It works with soft copper. Supposedly it can heat hard drawn copper enough to work with it, but I haven't tried.

The 7/8” swage will create a hub for 3/4” I.D. X 7/8” od copper.

Commonly referred to as 3/4” copper in the plumbing trade.

I use an impact driver. Yes, you spin them into the pipe to make the hub.

It will not work with pvc.

Refrigeration tube is sold by outside diameter. Plumbing tube is sold by internal diameter.

7/8” refrigeration tube is the same size as 3/4” plumbing tube.

That’s why the 7/8” swage will create a Socket for 3/4” plumbing tube. 3/4” plumbing tube is 7/8” outside diameter.

It's so nice for some one to repeat.
There is a possibility your set is different than mine, but as you can see the 7/8 in my picture doesn't make a hub for 3/4 pipe.

I think you think you know more than you actually do. I never asked you about your tools. Obviously yours are different, probably knockoffs.

The useful info here would be. If you buy a system like this make sure you get the correct one. I was disappointed when I got mine.

Maybe buy the one I posted a link to in the original post.

All these other posts are me trying to prove to you that it’ll make a 7/8” socket.

I have no idea how the tool of yours that you posted is marketed. I have no idea who made it.
