My tank alarm is going off this morning. I opened the lid and sure enough, it's filling up. I replaced the both float switches a few years ago for the same problem. Could this pump be finally gone and is there some Newer Pump systems I should replace it with???

I'm thinking you want to replace it with a direct replacement fit what you have. Usually they are updated but still for what you have. I'm just generally speaking here since I don't know what you have. I'm assuming a lift station of some sort.

1619962700131.pngThis is basically what I have, It's the 3rd tank where liquids go before pumping up hill to the sand mound.

I replaced something similar to this recently. A couple actually. Just get the direct replacement and everything should go smooth.

The last time I had this pump out to replace the float switch, it was built up with crud. How can I determine what the pump volume it is? It's about 19 years old. My house was built in 2002.

I’d check the float switches, might not be the pump.

If the pump has a control box it could be defect in the electrical.

Pump could be jammed.

It could also be in protection mode and shut itself down to cool off, from being jammed.

Several things to check before you buy a pump.

Check valve could be stuck closed.

I was pumping the water from the tank with my old pond pump and can finally see the float switch for the pump. I hit it once with a poll and it turned the pump on. I guess I'll just replace the switch again... I think I replaced it about 3 to 4 years ago.

Who makes the best Float Switch??? I hope to find one locally today.
It’s Sunday. Your best floats are going to come from a pump distributer, not from a box store.

Not sure of a brand names, I’ve never paid attention to it.
