Sterling ensemble 36 back wall won’t click in notches

losing our mind. We have sterling shower kit, 36x34 base is in place. Trying to attach 36 back wall. The knotches at the bottom will not click in place. We can get one side but not the other. The framing is a tight fit, but even still we can get the knotches lined up and click, they rock on the back edge of the base. I think the knotches are not Matching up. I think they are off from the base to the back wall and don’t match which would be just our luck. My husband is currently trying to take down framing because he thinks it is not letting us pivot the back wall into place. I thought these kits were supposed to be easier. Not two days to just put in the back wall.

I put a three price shower in a couple of years ago from sterling I in put a little phenoseal I both places I also put a 2×4
On the top edge and tapped down with a
Hammer in have you put a level on the studs to see were you at that way?????

Yes that was the frustrating part. Perfectly level, top and sides. We are gonna try the Trick of pound the board down then if not just go for it.

Well update, we are going to exchange the back wall. No matter what we have done the notches will not drop down into the holes. We had them exactly lined up. We even tested the side wall, those we were able to get perfectly into the notches. we think something is off with this one.
we were always able to be level but there was a 1/4 inch gap between the base and the bottom of theback shower wall. one side would come close but would not drop all the way down.
we thought about just caulking to seal, but we are worried to side walls won’t line up correctly if the back won’t go down all the way.

worst Case scenario, use the base and just tile ?

I like fiber glass you only have to put it in once once you take the wall out use a framing square and see if the studs are off
Tiles aren't a bad way to go, I have them I squeegee them down after every use

Can we still use the base we have even if we don’t use the walls that come with the kit ?

Sterling is a good shower. I would get the new back wall and see how that works. Are you positive the back wall
doesn't go on first and then the side walls last. Just double check your manual. You probably just got a bad wall.

We got a new one. Hoping it works. Yes the back wall goes in first. So hopefully new back wall will work.
