Missing Tub Drain Screen?

Moving into a new place, and the tub seems to be missing a screen to catch hair etc. I have attached a photo here. Can any of you guys tell by looking what I need to get?

It’s not missing, one was never installed. They don’t come with the tub.

You can go to any hardware store and buy one that just sits in the hole

For that matter, you can go to almost any store. Like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. They are very common and are available in a number of designs including rubber and stainless steel.
Or just Google it!

I had already googled, but wanted to see if there was a particular one I should get for this application.

Actually that's an excellent question.
The reason I say that is because I have one of those typical screens that sit on top of my bathroom sink drain.
Although it appears to sit relatively flat against the drain ring, I've noticed a fair amount of relatively short hairs(from my balding head) fine their way below that screen. I was contemplating adding some type of sealant to prevent that. I imagine the longer hairs would be more apt to get caught between those two surfaces.
But on the other hand, the majority of hair gets caught by the screen as it's suppose to.

I believe that will look much better and drain faster than a screen design but not as effective. But may very well be good enough for your purpose.

Chances are, if you invert that screen you pictured, it will serve your purposes.

Buy that drain mushroom thing, it catches hair like mad. I cant remember the official name.
